We Tivo'd it. We'll watch on Thursday when we watch Flashforward.
The previews look pretty good. The music in the previews is awesome. So I have high expectations. I think Elizabeth Mitchell is good casting. She reminds me of the original. And I don't like "Inara's" hair so short.

I am definitely intrigued. Casting was very good. And some of the reveals shocked me.
I still have V-TOS on video tape (I am so cool - aren't I?) so I should have seen a bunch of those coming. They are setting up a lot of good conflict - Erica and her son, the two priests, the "traitors" and everyone...
Morena plays that part really well. And all of her well known characters (Inara, Adria, and Anna) are each very distinct.
The address being 4400 was a good inside joke too.
And Dekker - the reporter - he's so cute.

V became the highest rated sci-fi premiere of the new fall TV season after 13.9 million people watched the pilot episode last night, according to preliminary ratings. That number is still subject to some change, but it looks likely that this will be the biggest show to debut at 8 p.m. since another ABC sci-fi series, Lost.
To put that in perspective, FlashForward was (until now) considered the hit of the season after 12.4 million people watched its first episode. The ratings for V are likely to grow substantially once DVR viewership is added in, since sci-fi shows tend to benefit (or suffer?) most from DVR viewing.
For instance, the FlashForward premiere added nearly 2 million viewers after DVR viewing was accounted for. ABC had planned to give V an indeterminate break after running just the first four episodes, but this will likely make them determine a return date ASAP, which is good news for those who liked the show.
Wow, reader comments are ripping!

The news reports I read were all favorable too.
I hope they can maintain the moment.
But please, let's hope no one decides to reboot Alien Nation! :fear:

Alien Nation, the movie, had a nice premise that was used again in District 9. Alien Nation, the tv series, was utter drek.

According to what I read they are keeping the original schedule.

Last nights episode was off to a rough start but I liked all of the loose ends they left.
Is Anna really her mother - or is their "family" structure different.
And Alan Tudyk's last scenes completely surprised me, I really liked that twist. I was not shocked that the V's set up the shooter situation, not at all but it still played well.

:giggle: I had those thoughts when the Vistors were talking about their plans! LOL!
I've watched the first two, gonna watch the 3rd tonight. I've liked it so far. I was disappointed about the actor who played Firefly's Wash, though. So far, the rest of the casting is good.
