I just stumbled upon this movie when I saw the toys in the store the other day. I mentioned it to Mrs. J and she had already seen a trailer. I thought it looked pretty effing sweet.

That's a different movie :D they are just calling it The Last Airbender I wonder if it is because Jim Cameron already had the Avatar name.

Oh God. Another movie about saving the nature loving/ecofriendly/very pacific and fun loving natives from the ugly clutches of the evil western civilization with its machines, strip mining and high-tech weaponry. Of course the bows and arrows will defeat all those tanks, mecha armor, machine guns, rockets, etc. because the natives have elàn. And everybody knows that elàn trumps artillery all the time, or at least that was what the french though before the met the machine gun in WWI.
Nice visuals, but I don't care about another movie bashing our society.
